Plans After High School: Byron will continue his studies at UC Berkeley, where he intends to pursue a B.S. in Civil Engineering. During his time at Berkeley, he hopes to meet a lot of new people and establish connections with potential business partners. Ultimately, Byron aspires to establish his own construction firm, with a preference for Bakersfield, though he remains open to opportunities anywhere in California. His mission is to provide affordable housing for low-income families, as he has personally experienced the difficulties of having to move due to rising housing costs.

What #BulldogSTRONG Means to Byron? "What #BulldogSTRONG means to me is to be the best version of yourself at all times. Although I may not always be the best version of myself, I am always striving to be better. I always remind myself that life is a marathon, not a sprint. Also, it reminds me to always be aware of my surroundings, because it is important to realize there is a time and place for everything, which means staying focused in a class or when it's social time during lunch."
