For the final day of Hispanic Heritage Month, Civil Rights activist and icon, Dolores Huerta took the time to give a shout out to the students at Golden Valley High School. We are so appreciative that she provided our students with such kind words and sentiments, further encouraging them to be proud of their Hispanic heritage . Sí se puede! For Day 22 of HHM, Golden Valley High School Junior, Esmeralda Garcia Reyes created a video about Grupos in Kern County. As we saw at the start of Hispanic Heritage Month in the outdoor amphitheater, Grupos passionately express themselves through various forms of traditional Hispanic music. Esmeralda created this video from her Career Technical Education Center (CTEC) class which focuses on the video production and editing.
