For the genuine appreciation, PRIDE, and commitment he has for the Bulldog Theatre Company at Golden Valley High School and in his kind, humble, and positive demeanor, Elijah Moore is #BulldogSTRONG.

The tenth staff member to be recognized for Black History Month is our Moderate Severe Instructional Aid, Latonia Newman-Pollard! Ms. Newman-Pollard is committed to helping some of our neediest students succeed as she fosters positive relationships and connections with them so that they can be #BulldogSTRONG! Ms. Newman-Pollard is #BulldogSTRONG!

For the twelfth day of Black History Month at GVHS, we will be presenting our second video created by GVHS Freshman Class President and member of our ASB Student Leadership Class and Project BEST, D'Anthony Wilson. D'Anthony represents GVHS the right way and is #BulldogSTRONG!

The ninth staff member to be recognized for Black History Month is our first year Biology and Introduction to Physical Science teacher, Tayci Stallings! Ms. Stallings is not new to teaching and with her experience, she is able to bring passion and creativity to her students every day. We are fortunate to have Ms. Stallings at GVHS as she is #BulldogSTRONG!

The eighth staff member to be recognized for Black History Month is Instructional Aid Marcia Gentery! Ms. Gentery humbly shows up every day and works hard to serve some of our neediest students and her story is truly inspiring. Ms. Gentery is #BulldogSTRONG.

For the determination she has in creating her own legacy and in the genuine love she has in playing basketball at Golden Valley High School, Aalaysia Blakely is #BulldogSTRONG.

The seventh staff member to be recognized for Black History Month is our Interventionist Dalfon Amey! Mr. Amey is truly student centered in his work as he tirelessly strives to provide the necessary support and care for ALL students at GVHS! Mr. Amey is #BulldogSTRONG.

On Wednesday, February 10, 2021, WNBA Star Erica McCall spoke to about 30 Golden Valley High School students and staff about the importance of Black History Month, family, time management, and reaching out for help in order to excel in college. Even though she graduated from Ridgeview High School in 2013, Erica is #BulldogSTRONG.

The sixth staff member to be recognized for Black History Month is our Head Football Coach and Campus Security Guard, James Cain! Coach Cain’s perpetual optimism, mentorship, and service to the students at GVHS does not go unnoticed! Coach Cain is #BUlldogSTRONG!
